Social networks changing advertising ecosystem

With increasing social networks as new platform, forms of advertising should be increased, said the director of a media company, adding that advertising focused on specific groups of audience will be a new trend.


Dixon Wu, director of Flagship Co. Ltd, said that with increasing social networks as well as promoting platform, cross media for advertising is allowed and needed as criteria to compete. “We(the company) not only develop our business on magazines only.” Said Wu,“but also other kinds of media like videos, so as to cater the media exposure.”


Also, the potential customers can be targeted with technology. Wu cited Google as an example. “They (Google) put related advertisement according to users’ profile,” said Wu,“which will be a new trend in the field.”
