Sport channel with local sport

“I feel proud of being the first sport channel direct seeding the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon 2008”. Lai Yu Ching, Vice President, of NOW SPORTS Channel said when he presented in a lecture class in Shue Yan University on 26th Feb,08. Lai means that, Hong Kong sport program should have responsibility of advancing the sport development in Hong Kong. Sport program should be more than only focus on buying foreign soccer competition.

Lai realizes that the development of Hong Kong sporters is limited. :Lai thinks that it’s possible to provide opportunities fro them to be a host of sport program as they have superiority that they are much more familiar with sport knowledge. Miss Kong Chuek Yee, a 20 –years- old beach volleyball sporter has been a host of NOW SPORT channel last years. Lai said that it’s not only her pretty outlook , her special presentation character also attract audiences Lai claims that .a potential host should be smart, flexible with special personal style.

Lai admit that he dose not like gambling but he agree that soccer gambling can promote the development of sports. Lai think that gambling information is needed in sport reporting; however it’s going to be too excess. Lai reminds participating Journalism student should take a balance in reporting gambling information.
