As technology becomes more advanced, the dissemination of information has a lot of changes. Receivers nowadays can also be senders and ways to disseminate information are getting more. Stephen Quinn, digital development editor of South China Morning Post was invited to the general assembly of Journalism and Communication Department at Hong Kong Shue Yan University yesterday. He said scientific and technological progress had dramatically changed the media ecology. Thus, relationship among media, technology and public became more inseparable. ((very nice lead))

The Internet has now become more sophisticated. It turned into a huge information exchange platform that a lot of media would use online information as one of the news’ sources. Many people doubted that this would reduce the credibility of news as many information found on the Internet were not verified and authorized.

“There was nothing wrong to use online information as one of the news’ sources. The number of professional journalists was declining, but the number of "netizens" was growing. As long as the reporter was careful to verify the reference information on the Internet, accessing to online information could actually be acceptable,” said Quinn.

((nice job here...sparse but efficient...good work :)))
