Table shows organizing power

Leung Kwok Tungzxan, a graduate of Shue Yan journalism. He was invited to share with us the topic of "The Road from a Reporter to a Businessman". He has been a reporter for five year, but he finally achieved his goal as a businessman.

He chose journalism department, but he set to be a businessman as his ultimate goal. He said that his mark of mathematics was zero, moreover, he felt that journalism was a challenging subject, so he chose journalism in Shue Yan. Although he have been public relation official, businessmen and so on, but he held the diploma of Shue Yan all the while. It was because he was no time to pursue further education. But because of his rich work experience and earnest attitude, he now was a managing director in an international company.

He regarded that there should be a vision to be success. Having a goal, then we would know what we do to meet the goal. He himself would plan small five-year plan to meet the goal. He said that because he have decided to be a businessman, he have just been a reporter for five years. He determined to work in a PR company, even though TVB and ATV also wanted to employ him.

He also shared with us his attitude. He taught us doing“right things at right time and right place in order to get right result”.This is 80/20 principle. He hoped that we would not give 80 but finally get 20. He also believed that “nothing is impossible”.He said that he learned swimming himself in several months because of this aptitude.

As a managing director, he reminded that we should pay attention to self-management. He learned it from history book. The war would win, the first battle must win. As a boss, he would keep an eye on the table of his staffs. He said that the table would view the real character of one person. He believed who have well management in minor things, then could have a good management in great event. Therefore, he encouraged us to have a well organizing power; it is beneficial for work in future.
