Corrections:

1. a shortage of sciptwriter(s)

2. has been criticized (for)

3. people show high appreciation of him by making the statement erased‘The place with Lai Man Cheuk must have rousing laughter’

Akina Fong, the distinguished journalist anchor announced her resignation of present post in TVB and is expected to be the Senior Information Officer of ICAC till March2012. “Thanks for supporting and we’ll meet again some day, bye-bye,” said Fong front of the camera. However, she is not the only one who left her job suddenly. TVB is now facing the crisis of the outflow of talents as there is approximately 5% of experienced scriptwriter will be lost within this year.

HKSYU, 28FEB – Lai Man Cheuk, the sophisticated producer in media creation held a seminar in HKSYU. Although the situation seems urgent, he stressed that the brain-drain will not affect TVB seriously and expected the business development will still (be?) flourished.

Lai explained there are enough veteran drama scriptwriters in Hong Kong and described it as a ‘normal outflow of employees’. Currently, there are nearly 4200 full time employees in TVB including artists and staff in oversea subsidiary companies.

He pointed out there is a shortage of sciptwriter() in Mainland since television industry in Mainland has reached to the peak in recent years. “A television drama sciptwriter will usually get HK$12,000 for one episode in Hong Kong; however, the sciptwriter in Mainland can get a salary pay 2.5 times higher,” Due to the big contrast, Lai strongly recommended fresh graduates who are interested in scriptwriting should develop their careers in Mainland China.

The quality of television soap opera has been criticized (of-change preposition) declining within these years. “The decline is due to the environmental change since it is essential for TV stations to keep audience focus groups,” said Lai Man Cheuk. He added that elements which are eye-catching are used as tools to attract Hong Kong public, so that the high ‘rating’ can be achieved.

Lai who endeavoured in television, film, variety shows and comedy productions is famed as ‘The king of ideas’. In 1980s, people (use show+appreciation here) appreciated him by making the statement (of-erase, use appropriate punctuation) )‘The place with Lai Man Cheuk must have rousing laughter’. Lai had worked for three local television stations ranging from TVB, ATV to iCable TV Service Ltd and he is well reputed in media industry for long. ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ which is well-known to local residents is one of his successful creations. Apart from creative work, he is eager to culticate fresh graduates and personnel training in creation stream as Lam Chiu-wing and Yu Wing-san are two of his eminent followers.

Chloe, I see you put a lot of effort in highlighting my comments, however I have trouble seeing the actual correction within the text. Although it is appreciated, you do not need to create a separate page with all errors re-emphasized, simply copy paste the same article with my comments on the same page, and edit that copy (take out ()s, and errors underneath the original).

For this article I think you did a good job explaining the context, and the situation. For the title, instead of cause use to make (tvb) suffer, or with cause, use suffering. Keep up the good work.
