Technology makes no privacy

Science and technology become progressive, the increasing popularity of smart phones make candid behavior also become easier. Stephen Quinn, Digital Development Editor of South China Morning Post pointed out that people have no privacy at all because of the development of science and technology when he attended a talk of Shue Yan University. He described this is one of the biggest problems of the twenty-first century.


Hong Kong artists often being photographed even though they are in residence. Quinn cited a former case of Hong Kong artist Bosco Wong Chung Chak, he was photographed walking naked in his home. This indicating to the current digital technology, the parties are not aware of the situation can be easily carried candid.


Quinn expressed that the use of certain smart phones program will be very difficult to distinguish whether the videotaping. Some APPs can help people to pretend that they are reading or using the computer, while in fact he is shooting. Some cameras are small as a tip or shirt buttons, and the shooting pixel and resolution are so high, he believes it is hard to detect.
