( I think Cheng's name should be Joseph not Jason. The government IS going to hold an universal suffrage in 2017, except that the there are disputes over the definition of such election between the pro-Beijing parties and the pan democrats. So it is misleading to say "if the government doesn't come up with the idea of a 2017 universal suffrage.)

Jason Yu-shek Cheng, the spokesperson of Alliance for True Democracy, said today that if the government don't come up the idea of 2017 universal suffrage, the Chief Executive's acceptability would decline. Hongkongers would not believe the Chief Executive or government.

On the democratic development in Hong Kong, Cheng said he didn't see the government have the sincerity to consult Hongkongers. He claim that the government would start the consult in December and the democratiic development are not decided by government but Beijing.
