There are over 100 charities in Hong Kong at present, and the fund raising can be seen everywhere. (Towards?-use addressing) the doubt among people (that where-one preposition can replace the two) the fund is used, the manager of the Community Chest (the Chest) of Hong Kong promises the Chest is under proper supervision and the fund is fully repay to the society.

Louie H S Tong, the manager and community relations of The Community Chest of Hong Kong attended the General Assembly in Hong Kong Shue Yan University today. Louie introduced that the Community Chest of HK raises 300 to 400 billions of fund every year, to run the charity regularly. Sixty percents of the rais(ing-past participle) fund come from business companies, and fund-raising events bring another 30%, the others are from schools. Louie said last year the Chest had raised 350 million dollars which hit (the- switch to indefinite) new peak (of amount-omit). “Even the fund can’t reach the standard, the Chest has over 700 million dollars reserve to guarantee the persistent help for beneficiary,” said Louie.

Louie claimed that the financial operation is safe because large amount of reserve is savings, and only a small part of it is used to do some investment. “I admitted that we suffered losses (in-use time preposition) financial crisis,” Louie added, “but we still get profit in the long run.” The Community Chest has nine senior bankers to manage the best portfolio, and the committee holds six conferences every year to discuss the financial circumstance and make the fund fully repay (to?) society in the end.

Louie pointed out the Community Chest has maintained a high degree of transparency in the operation for over 40 years, and they will make sure to get every expense in place. The Chest welcomes citizens to supervise them and they are willing to solve their problems. --095006 2012年3月13日 (二) 23:22 (UTC)
