The Special Freedom in Mainland

Defended for the mainland china, Lau Nai Keung ,the Executive Director & Chief Organizer of Greater China Youth Online express his view that mainland has freedom in a talk at Shue Yan university.


“Freedom really exits in the mainland china,” said Lau, “it’s just together with some constrains.” He thought it’s impossible to give the public an absolute freedom otherwise the society will become decayed. “There just some limitation, it doesn’t mean Mainland has no freedom,” he added.


Lau states that he knows most of the citizen thinks Mainland is underdevelopment. “Most of them are using the standard from the western countries,” he said, “but it’s absolutely wrong.” He explains that Mainland has her own way to develop and she did it quite good as now people having more freedom than before. “If we always use the western standard to measure Mainland, she will never be better.”


“You all shouldn’t keep the old mind. Mainland already improved a lot in all aspect.” He suggested the students to study more the Mainland’s culture. “You can’t criticize her if you don’t have a right concept.”
