“I express my views in peaceful way do not mean that I do not care democracy.” Jasper Tsang Yok-sing declared.

The President of Legislative Council and the former Chairman of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong, Mr. Jasper Tsang Yok-sing came to a university yesterday. He said “peoples will change their impression on the event when time is going. In 1989, I used to express my opinions in newspaper about the Tiananmen Square Massacre for democracy.”

“But up till now, I do fight for democracy; some people choose radical ways to express their views, but it does not mean that I have to stand on street and shout for democracy. There are numerous methods to protect democracy, like throw a banana, but I have my own way to do so.” Tsang stressed.

With regard to some Council Members always break the Rules of Procedure of Council; Tsang said “although all the Members were elected by citizen, President has the responsibility to follow the rule. President must withdraw the Member, who conducts grossly disorderly, from the Council.”

The Budget speech 2009-2010 will be published today at 11am; Tsang considered “during the financial crisis, the Budget should enhance the confidence of the society; government should not consider too many when giving money to citizen while there is surplus.”
