A representative from HK4As, Angela Ng said the development of advertising industry is unpredictable.

Executive Director of the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of Hong Kong, Angela Ng who gave a talk at Hong Kong Shue Yan University weekly forum. She shared the development of advertising industry and introduce about HK4As.

There is 10 categories of advertising. This year, film, media and cyber are the most popular formats for the entries of Kam Fan Awards by Hk4As. Kam Fan Awards is a representative award to praise the outstanding productions and creators.

‘Nowadays the scenario of advertising is uncertain,’ Ng said.

Every year the trend of advertising keeps changing, or even being integrated, so she believes the future development of advertising industry cannot be predicted.

To encourage the new generation involves into the advertising industry, Hk4As Students’ Award is organised by HK4As to provide a platform for students to show their creative works. ‘It can train them to be more talented,’ Ng said.

‘Students who want to win the award should make a creative advertising that is eye-opening, empathetic and fresh,’ she said. Also, she reminds the students to participate with heart as the judges will know.

Nowadays many people tend to open a startup company rather than join the Hk4As’ agencies. Ng said, the agencies provide learning opportunities for newcomers, but working there will be hard as the working time is long and it contains heavy workload.

She said, although a startup advertising agency has wider development, and is free to create, people need to carry the high risk. --165009 2018年10月9日 (二) 17:28 (CST)
