The quailty of Hong Kong press group is deteriorating

Law Yee Ping, the Chief Editor of Finet, was invited by Hong Kong Shue Yan University to give a speech about the press group in Hong Kong nowaday.

Firstly, Law claimed that there is a new word will be added to Oxfard Dictionary very soon, that word is "applelization". She pointed that the quality of Hong Kong press group is deteriorating, all of them are applelizating, that means the style of other press group in Hong Kong is following the style of Apple Daily. The editorial policy weighting too much on humanistic interests and gossips instead of what is really important to the society and its audience. Law explained that because the management of the press group is only focus on the profit making , but bot media ethics, it discouraged many experienced journalists, including herself.

As many experienced journalists are not willing to work in press group of Hong Kong. Nowaday, most of the reporters and editors are too young and green. They are immature to exert a positive impact to the audience. Together with the effect from applelization, the audience are regardationalizing’by them. Law condemed.
