Have you (ever) imagined that a journalist can(-could) finish a package of reporting including video, slideshow and texts by using his smart phone? Stephen Quinn, the Digital Development Editor of South China Morning Post, proved in an assembly in Shue Yan University on April 3, that by using a phone with some extra accessories, a news (report) could be done in just 20 minutes and it was rich in content.

Quinn pointed out that the popularity of the smart phones was the leading reason for the r(a)ise of mobile journalism.

"By owning an Iphone, you can take photos to make a slideshow, shoot video clips and edit it by some apps, also you can write the article and upload it to news website," said Quinn.

In last Winter Olympic Games, Brian Pellot and Erica Zucco, two young journalists went to Whistler Mountain to report their news. They brought a microphone, an Iphone and some lens to record their voice over,(x-missing word, transition or preposition) the interview. They took photos and shot videos with Iphone and also upload the package by the phone. They took about 20 minutes to finish the whole process.

However, Quinn also claimed that using just a gadget could lead the journalists to stay close to the target easily. He warned the journalists must follow the ethics of press and should not invade others privacy by using a small device to report news.

Good, clear and concise story...keep up the good work.
