(Literati is a plural noun and it therefore doesn't apply to just one man. Just say he is a cloumnist or writer. 你應該學習如何分段,例如他寫過什麼劇本,跟他以前在日本早稻田唸書沒有直接關係,你可以把他們分開兩段。It is not review, it is censorship that Shen is talking about.)

‘I absolutely support democracy and freedom,’ said Mr. Shen, a literati now as the Apple Daily columnist.

Shen Sai Seng, whose original name were Yip Kwan Ki, served as the TV series "Yesterday's Glitter" and the movie "City on Fire" screenwriter in the past. He expressed that willingness to join the ranks of students in this occupation movement. ‘When I was studying in Japan as college student, I participated in the demonstrations on workers in Waseda University,’ Shen said. He stressed the importance of democracy and freedom, and pointed that there is no creation at all when publications need to be reviewed. Besides, he believed that all movements should bleed finally. ‘There is no free lunch, achieving their goals without bloodshed is impossible,’ said Shen.

Talking about the fictions, he recommended for <The Deer and the Cauldron> and <Ah Q—The Real Story>. ‘The majority of intellectuals would talking about these two books, and as younger generation reading them will be good.’ Said Shen.
