(Your lead is bland. It is like telling people children are the future masters of the world. How trite! You should point out that the law forbids the same resigned legislators to run for the vacated seats within 6 months during which the pro-establishment camp might pass bills that prove to be detrimental to the pan-democrats while the students do not need to abide by the 6 month moratorium since they all are new faces. Also, Liu was referring to the upcoming District Council election when he said the pan-democrats would lose half of their seats , not the Legco election. An error here.)

Bruce Liu, Chairman of Hong Kong Association for Democracy and People's Livelihood, believe students will be the hope to seek for the universal suffrage in Hong Kong.

Politicians advocated the Five Constituencies Referendum like launched in 2010 which involved one pan-democratic legislator resigning from each of the five geographical constituencies, thereby triggering a by-election in which all Hong Kong citizens could participate. Liu suggested, the Five Constituencies Referendum can be launched now with modification. And he said, the 5 chosen candidates should be students instead of any legislative members. As the Pro-Beijing Camp claimed that they will not participate in the Five Constituencies Referendum. Liu believed that it is possible that there will be student taking part in the legislative council if the election works. And he said, it is a more effective way to look for their goal.

Due to the Occupy Central protest movement, it totally affected the citizens living in the protest zone especially in Mong Kok. Liu predicted, the Pan-democracy Camp will lose half of the seats in the coming legislative council and district council election respectively. Yet, Liu said, students could not realize these drawbacks caused by the Occupy Central movement.

Liu said, the Occupy Central movement should set a deadline but not to be an everlasting occupy campaign. And he believed that violence crackdown will be the last resort. He wishes the protesters can leave and have a better plan for future. He said, there is possibility that government of PRC will intervene Hong Kong politics decision if the movement cannot be stopped in a right time.
