(We usually say chief editor for/of a newspaper, but not from. Other than this minute mistake, your lead is good. Don't use first name as a brief form of address, always use the surname and in this case, it is Chan not Tim. You should explain to your readers what MPF scheme is all about because some might not understand how it involves people to financial markets.)

“Despite the fact that printed media become sunset industry, it’s the best time ever for financial reporting”, said Tim Chan, who is the executive chief editor from Hong Kong Economic Journal.

A Sign of Progress

The affluent city demands more financial reporting. “When people are well-off, they have spare money for investment. Even the employees who join MPF scheme, they are somehow in the investment business”, Tim explained. Given that the better living environment and wealthier society in Hong Kong, Tim observed that the media industry published more financial reports to serve needs.

Ways of Reporting Changed

Challenged by online multimedia, the decline of printed industry doesn’t threaten the journalism as a whole. “In 1990s, half of the passengers in MTR station read newspapers when they were heading to work”, Tim recalled his memory. “But now, only a handful of them read newspaper. Most of the eyes tapped on the smart phones for checking the online social websites. Taking Apple Daily as an example, Tim praised it as the leader of local media. “Apple Daily can master the flow of society and know how to present the news like animated news video to suit the appetite of Hong Kong readers.”Tim said. The convergence of traditional media and new media made media companies survive in the computer era. --105048 2012年9月26日 (三) 00:34 (UTC)
