(Your lead has grasped one of the highlights of Tim Chan's speech and which is commendable. Your report is also well structured and organized. However, you need to hone your writing skill to present to your readers a comprehensive story. It is odd to say "the newspaper is now at the sunset period", how about "is on the verge of becoming extinct"? "For people to become jounalists" is also an awkward phrase, how about "for those wannabe journalists"? The only way to improve your writing is to read good newspapers like the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal.)

Claiming the newspaper industry is now at the sunset period,Tim Chan, the Executive Chief Editor of Hong Kong Economic Journal, also claimed that it is the best era for people to become journalists at the same time during his speech at the general assembly of Shue Yan University.

As same as many people believing so, Tim Chan claimed that newspaper is a sunset industry. He stated that the newspaper industry had successfully survived one after the other of the appearance of new media such as radio, television or Internet. “However, we are now really worrying that the advanced technologies are replacing the industry.” He supported his argument by an example which is the rapid growth of using smartphones and tablets instead of reading a piece of newspaper to obtain information.

Tim Chan, however, claimed that this is the best era for people to become journalists. As he mentioned, the advanced technologies had created a informative society. People nowadays can obtain information or news by only one “touch” on their smartphones or tablets. “ According to my experience in this industry, I’ve never came across a era that people are demanding information or news almost in every second. Therefore, this is the best and biggest era for people to become journalists.
