Towngas proceed Northeast New Territories Landfill Gas Utilization for environmental protection

‘We knew there was profitless on scheme of Northeast New Territories (NENT) Landfill Gas Utilization, but we still insist on it for environmental protection.’ Said Ms. Wong Sau Ying, Head of Corporate Communications, The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Ltd. (Towngas)

The scheme will be spent two hundred million to change half of Landfill Gas in Northeast New Territories into useful fuel material, Wong said’ we only can get the cost back but no anymore profit, however it is worth to do it for reducing pollution and transforms the exhaust gas to be useful resources.’

Besides, the gas bill showed the gas-saving information to consumer, but it doubted about the making profit of Towngas will be turned down. Wong Sau Ying told that the information can encourage public to use gas reasonably, also can build the positive image for company. She mentioned enterprise should take their social responsibility, striving support by public.
