(You were late again)

“I am not interested in the ways to achieve universal suffrage.”Chow Yung, the founder of “Silence Majority” believed that democracy should not relate to violence and their one and only goal is to keep Hong Kong in peace.

Universal suffrage under some constraints

Due to the Basic Law, Chow stated that the Chinese government has the right to authorize the power to the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. He believed that it is impossible for the Chinese government to give up this right, so the democratic parties in Hong Kong should comprise and seek for a solution. It is up to them to decide who is going to run for this post but the first step is to move forward.

No objection, No suggestion

Chow stated that he is not opposing the “Occupy Central with love and peace” since everyone has their right to say something. “Silence Majority” is not going to object but neither will they raise a suggestion. They only hope that everyone can have their voice to speak and they will maintain the peace in Hong Kong by all means. He takes the “Occupy Central with love and peace” as an example. He thinks this act will “paralyze the Hong Kong society” by affecting the transport and citizens daily life.
