Weibo makes great difference

Today, Li Fang, the associate managing editor of Tencent, introduced a popular and new media---Weibo when he attended the discussion forum about the media in cybertimes which hold by Hong Kong Shue Yan University. “Weibo is a gift given by God”

As this new media develops extremely fast, people change their roles from receiver to leader. Li claimed that Weibo is a revolution of communication due to its special existence. “Everyone sees different content in Weibo, and they broke the structure of media issuing the messages, but let user to choose,” said Li. Moreover, the famous specialist of disaster, Qian Gang, even firmly said that “Weibo is a gift given by God, and we should make the best of it.”

Service make for attention

Weibo is run by Sina and Tencent most successfully. As the operator of Tencent, Li stated that the only way to attract attention on Tencent is service. Li first admitted that Sina has the advantage of large wide of traditional media, so it does brilliant at that part. But he also believe Tencent relys on the friends relationship chain from QQ, which is the most popular and largest chat tool on-line. So far, Weibo of Tencent has over 230 millions of users which is far more than Sina. Besides, Li introduced that Tencent is the first company put traffic situation into Weibo which had considerable reaction. But Li didn’t want to force celebrities not to use Sina Weibo, he thought messages need to be sent by multi-channels.
