‘The development of Greater Bay Area upgrades the status of China,’ says an entrepreneur.

Hong Kong need to catch up the mainland rapid development, said Rocky Yu, the Founder and Director of QianHai Gangjunda Shenzhen Business Service Co Ltd, at Shue Yan University weekly forum.

The Greater Bay Area includes Hong Kong, Macau and Guangdong Province with a total area of 56,000 square kilometers, and total population of about 70 million. It aims to integrate the advantages of these three places, and encourage the coordinated development of the regional economy.

Nowadays, the GDP of Guangzhou is already surpassed Hong Kong, which enhances rapidly. Yu said, the focus of technology development of mainland is the main reason.

In addition, Shenzhen is going to build the largest Convention and Exhibition Centre that it is 6 times of Hong Kong’s. “It will definitely simulate the economic,” Yu said.

Since Convention and Exhibition is a main development of Hong Kong, its advantage of connecting mainland to the world is no longer available.

Yu said, “Hong Kong people should have a wider vision on the market.” If they don’t go out from their comfort zone, it is difficult to compete with mainland.

“The infrastructures of Hong Kong and mainland changing the hinge of a place,” Yu said. For example, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and the Hong Kong West Kowloon railway station allow people visit across China easily. Thus, it broadens the living are.

Another speaker Dazza Hui, the Chairman of Hong Kong Life Planning Association talked about seeking opportunities in the Greater Bay Area in the weekly forum.

“Opportunity is not only reserved for those who are prepared, but reserved for those who can see,” Hui said.

He said, the young people should learn how to prepare for their lives rather than the working skills. Knowledge, attitude and time management are three key points to grab a chance. --165009 2019年3月26日 (二) 17:47 (CST)
