5G technology lets humanoid robot become safety and more immediate response, says technical officer of robot design firm

Humanoid robot aims to give actions immediately after received messages. 5G technology started used in humanoid robot. It can improve robot security and speed. 5G network become a important role of humanoid robot development in the future.

“5G network makes faster information transition of robot,” Roborn Dynamics Limited founder and chief technical officer Mak Hin-yu said at Hong Kong Shue Yan University today.

Mak said that to describe 5G specifically, it was tenfold faster than 4G.

He found that AI self-study, Internet of Things (IOT) and Transition is 3 ways of robot development.

He said that about "Transition", 5G technology become an important role. 5G provide network for robot to present a faster response.

“We succeeded the world's first 5G telesurgery test,” Mak said.

Mak said that 5G telesurgery test on animal succeeded was a big improvement of 5G technology and robot. It also proved 5G robot has many benefits.

He said that one of the benefits is highly synergistic. It was latency millisecond and accurate operation.

Secondly, it has high-speed broadband for multiple tasks at the same time. Also, It was strong anti-interference to increase security of network while robot running.

So that the safety factor of 5G robot was higher than other.

Mak graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. He participated in several research and development projects of NASA.

In 2017, Mak founded Roborn Dynamics Limited. He and his team developed and produced motion-sensing bionic robots.

The project won the 2018 Hong Kong Awards for Machine and Equipment and Mechanical Design Award.

He still upgrades his robot. He hopes that his robot can become a helpful boy for human to do the simple works.

In the future, Mak hope that Hong Kong can be the top of the robot design city.
