A shortcut to be successful financial anchor needs to master on stocks market, says a financial anchor.

A financial anchor needs to know the latest on stock market also better to remember the stocks code, says Leung Sam Yan, a financial anchor.

"news anchor is the person holding the interview, if the anchor didn't master on the stocks market and sensitive with number then will lose trust within the audiences and difficult to continue the program," Leung Sam Yan, a founder of the Alpha Bull Limited, a digital financial news platform, said at Hong Kong Shue Yan University weekly forum.

“Financial program main audiences are middle class, sometimes will invite CEO or the authoritative person to do interview in program. She said once program anchor provide wrong information about the stocks, it will be difficult to build trust and reputation within the audiences," said Leung. She advised reporter must have good preparation before interview otherwise he or she would not know how to chat with the interviewees.

She said besides on familiar with the number also need to figure out the proper noun. “for example Baltic Dry Index(BDI) is the the proper noun and official name of the index, don’t even try to change the name or called it in other way,” Leung said.

Leung Sam Yan is famous financial anchor of Cable TV and the founder of Alpha Bull Limited. She is an alumnus of Shue Yan University as well.
