The China-United States trade war has been carried out almost a year. The war was triggered by US President Donald Trump as to fulfill his promise made in his campaign as to fix China’s “longtime abuse of the broken international system and unfair practices”. The war was still going on and it would turn into a technological race in the future.

“technological race is the main dishes of the China-United States trade war,” Yau Ching Yuen, the founder of “Post 852” said at a Hong Kong Shue Yan University forum yesterday. The development of 5G and Artificial Intelligence (AI) was becoming the trend of the whole world. “the country takes the leading role of 5G or AI can be the leader of the world,” he said. In fact, China has more advantage than the United States due to the large market size. The calculation of AI depended on the big data, therefore as China has huge population, it was very easy to collect data, he said.

“North Korea is two-faced, they are using balanced-diplomatic strategy,” he said. During the trade war, North Korea accept the help from China on the food supply. At the same time, they tried to ask the United States to give up on the economic sanctions. Since North Korea has the nuclear warhead, Donald Trump was willing to negotiate with the North Korea President Kim Jong Un as to win the Nobel Peace Prize. “If China hinder their negotiation, the United States may carry on the trade war and trigger a big chain reaction,” he said.

Yau Ching Yuen was the founder of “Post 852”. He was graduated from Hong Kong University. He used to be the editor of “Next Magazine” and “Mad Dog Daily” etc. He is also the writer of “FEEL 100%” etc.--165054 2019年2月26日 (二) 23:33 (CST)
