(You should explain the difference between a net-based TV like HKTV and a terrestrial TV like ATV, and the competition there is less intense as compare to the head-on competition between the two terrestrial TV stations ATV and TVB as far as viewership and advertisement income are concerned.)


Hong Kong Television Network Limited (HKTV) today announced that its program would  be started in November. As a competitor, Chiu Yue Keung,Assistant Vice President of ATV, said ATV would pay attention on its own business and decided to make some new changes in future.

As people used to compare ATV with HKTV, Chiu claimed that ATV had no pressure of it. Although Chiu agreed that HKTV did a good job with their drama, ATV produced good drama before too. Hence, he said ATV would produce drama again in the future as an improvement. 
HKTV announced that its drama program would start at 6am, according to this change Chiu believed that it was difficult to change the behaviour of Hong Kong people, since everyone used to watch drama program at night.

Referring to the renewal of its broadcast license, as the first television station in Hong Kong, Chiu predicted that, the government should approve its request. In addition, he said ATV would promote a new plan in the next year.

Due to the trend of media was changing, people tended to use electronic devices rather than traditional media. In order to cater the change, Chiu revealed that ATV was planned to develop mobile platform. He explained,in oder to collect money, ATV needed more time to develop this plan.
