Since Wong Cho Bau is one of the Nation commissars of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, public worried that his political identity may affect the editorial autonomy of DBC. However, Loh Chan, the C.E.O of Digital Broadcasting Corporation Hong Kong Limited (DBC), emphasized yesterday in Hong Kong Shue Yan University that DBC would definitely be ’fair’ and ‘impartial’ in news reporting.

On top of that, Loh added that DBC would strive for the news balance. It won't be another Apple Daily, Wenwei Po or Takung pao. He also elaborated that Wong Cho Bau doesn't become one of the board members, but only an investor so as to avoid arousing suspicion.

Loh hoped that DBC could become more popular soon by setting up a news channel and developing an elderly channel. He believed that ‘ Content is the King’ and we shouldn’t underestimate the spending power of elderly.
