{| width="500" border="0" | <div align="justify"> David Schlesinger has been the Chairman of Thomson Reuters China since February 2011, and is the Group’s senior representative in the region. He is responsible for building relationships, providing thought leadership and advising on strategy for operations across Thomson Reuters interests in financial markets, legal and regulatory databases, scientific information and journalism. He was appointed to this role after four years as Editor-in-Chief of Reuters News at Thomson Reuters, running editorial operations and strategy. Before that, Mr. Schlesinger was the company’s Global Managing Editor for three years. Mr. Schlesinger joined Reuters Hong Kong bureau in 1987 as a correspondent. From 1989 to 1995, he ran Reuters editorial operations in Taiwan, China and the Greater China region in a series of posts. He then transferred to New York to serve as Financial Editor, Managing Editor for the Americas and Executive Vice President and Editor of the Americas. Prior to joining Reuters, Mr. Schlesinger wrote for a variety of publications from Hong Kong and had an early career as a teacher. Mr. Schlesinger is an Advisory Board member of the International News Safety Institute and on the board of the Committee to Protect Journalists. He is Honorary President of the International Network of Street Papers. Mr. Schlesinger is on the Steering Committees for Oxford University's Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism and for Tsinghua University's School of Journalism and Communications. He is active in the World Economic Forum, where he has been selected as a member of the International Media Council and the China Agenda Council. Mr. Schlesinger is on the board of ChinaWeb, which operates hexun.com, China’s leading online financial portal. He has served as a Director of the Thomson Reuters Foundation and Chairman of the Dannenberg Oberlin-in-London Program. Mr. Schlesinger graduated from Oberlin College and has a Masters degree from Harvard University, where he concentrated on Chinese politics in the Regional Studies East Asia program.
