Blockchain technology start using in Hong Kong. Beside technology use, the most important is others professional participate in let blockchain technology be useful in their profession.

"We are not only invited blockchain technology professionals participate, but also different aspects of professionals involved to our development,” Co-founder of Hong Kong Blockchain Society, Peter Woo said at Hong Kong Shue Yan University today.

Woo said that the first thing of blockchain popular used in a career is lets people knows the benefit of blockchain technology, he found that the best way is invite different career professionals join their exploitation.

“To make an example, when a journalism understands blockchain operation, it helped blockchain application and journalism industry development,” Woo said.

Woo said that the non-professionals of blockchain was important that the professionals because blockchain developer need to know how blockchain can help for their own profession.

He also talked about Hong Kong Blockchain Society that the society will be held a competition in July of 2019.

The aims of the competition which is collect different ideas how can blockchain use in different aspects.

"More examples of using blockchain in Hong Kong will be shown on next 4 to 5 months," Woo said.

Woo graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Canada at the University of Calgary.

He was the co-founder of the Hong Kong Blockchain Society and the Chief Strategist of eMALI.io nowadays.

Before he set up Hong Kong Blockchain Society, Woo worked over 25 years of extensive international experience in the Information Technology, Internet and Telecommunications sectors.

In these 25 years, Woo has founded five startups and as part of his career, Woo were as Regional Director (Data warehouse) at AT&T Asia China and Managing Director of Doubleclick Asia-Pacific.

He also was the winner of China's Inaugural Social Innovation Summit Competition, where he leaded the winning team as Managing Director of IKIS Foundation.
