‘The adjudicators of Film Development Fund estimate the film market potential and decide that whether it worth subsidizing, which make the foundation look like a company’, said Herman Yau, Hong Kong Movie Director.

‘I would not say that under this circumstances is bad’, said Yau. He thought the adjudicators must consider the film value more than it’s market potential. ‘Now the foundation looks like a company, and I treat it as a distributing salary institution’, said Yau.

For the film<SARA>, Yau expressed that a film as a commodity. ‘Before I have filmed two movies of the same topic, the sex worker’, said Yau, ‘this time it involves nontraditional sex worker, and the protagonist has multiple identities.’ He added that it’s normal that others find you to film a certain topic movie while you have filmed such kind of movie before.
