HKSYU, 5 Feb - It’s a hard for newspaper to survive in such a competitive environment where free information flooding in the internet. However, Timesquare, a magazine has a specific group of readers doesn’t fare to face the challenge, said Mr. Jack Forest, the Editorial Director of Timesquare (Hong Kong) Co Ltd.

Jack admitted that the market of Timesquare is a little bit small when he gave a talk at Hong Kong Shue Yan University yesterday. But the magazine has a group of stable readers who are attracted by the beautiful words. Beforetime, Hong Kong and Taiwan shared a same version of Timesuare. Now, Timesquare has a Hong Kong version which means it has enough space to live. During these years, Jack found that readers in Hong Kong prefer less words and more pictures, which contrary to those in Taiwan and Mainland China. ‘The point of article is significant rather than the word number,’ said Jack.

As a journalist, Jack indicated that he enjoys his job to introduce different things to readers. He sais,’ there are three kinds of journalists. First, show the real society. Second, show the ugly word. Third, which is me, show the beautiful life’.

Travel around the word, eat all kinds of delicious food, drive Audi Roadster. These are just some glory on the surface. No one knows the hardship except Jack. He indicated that he write lots of articles at home untile 4am every day to make money. ’ God help those who help themselves,’ said him,’ your effort would be paid by chance
