‘If only the government give benefits to social enterprises that could make them survive, it’s not a good thing’, said Lee Jark-pui, Chairman of the Agency for Volunteer Service.

‘The government may give benefits to social enterprises, like some privilege items in a bid. I think it’s not a good thing’, said Lee, ‘as a corporate must survive in competitions, and social enterprises are no exception.’

He indicated that government leads social welfare, and many volunteer groups play a role as agency of the government. But he emphasized that government should not ask volunteers to do something and limit their activities. On the contrary, the government must find out what citizen actually need, and let the volunteer groups know.
