Documentary film director Connie Lo Yan-wai spent four years to produce the film “Vanished Achieves”, which is about the 1967 Leftist Riots in Hong Kong.

The film has been rejected by the Hong Kong International Film Festival and failed to get screening. “We all felt unexpected, but it may screen in another film festival,” Lo said.

“This film is to record the history. I will never let it disappear silently,” Lo explained. She added that the film was “a gift for Hong Kong citizens” and people should respect the history.

During the research procedure, Lo discovered that many useful files were missing. She thought the disappearance was questionable. She was curious why there were plenty of information about June Fourth Incident but none were related to The Hong Kong 1967 Leftist Riots. Lo used eight months to find out some of the files in the United Kingdom eventually.
