Mable Law: "Entering the mainland market is the biggest challenge"

Mabel Leung, the managing director of MRRM Publishing LTD, said that tackling the mainland market is the biggest challenge for her magazine company in these days.

Leung said yesterday that the international status of editors from the fashion magazines in mainland is very high, even greater than American and British editors. “If a magazine has no mainland edition, it would can not standing in international market,” she said.

Leung has thought to enter the mainland market and also try to publish mainland edition of fashion magazine in order to see whether such strategy can benefit to her own business in Hong Kong. However, as there are lots of procedures in signing permit in mainland, Leung worries to start monthly publication business in mainland at this moment.
