When asked about new televisions launching this years, Ho’s answers are positive. “One more player, always better,” Ho says. She points out that new TVs can bring improvements to the quality of TV programs by stimulating the creativity and providing opportunities to work together. 

She believes with the increase in population and open of mainland markets, we can accommodate more televisions. Also, people are spending more time on media entertainment, so the market is available to new TV stations. 

As three new TV stations are coming up this year, TVB and ATV have to face new challenge after thirty more years’ monopoly.
