| As a Chinese-funded Cooperation, Hong Kong China News Agency is known as a left-winged news agency. Candy Lo, Deputy Chief Editor of HKCNA, fights back the rumour in a strong tone. “There is no censorship within the agency,” said Lo. “ We are objective and neutral.” Lo took Liu Xiaobo as an example. “We had a coverage on the Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu last year,” she said. “The only thing is we are making it in a different angle.” The reporting style among Hong Kong media is often criticized to be being bias, especially on some social issues. The experienced editor thinks that to keep calm and analyze the problem. “For example, for the anti-national education motion, we have to think at the people’s angle. Why some are fighting against the scheme and some are supporting the scheme,” said Lo, “what we do not want to do is follow the mainstream idea, but to judge the problem with our vision.”
