A producer from media company said big idea was an essential requirement for a good video advertisement, speaking at Shue Yan assembly on Tuesday.


Tiger Chan, executive producer of Asia Tiger Media Limited, said short videos like advertisements had to draw audience’s attention in the first ten seconds to keep them watching the video continually.


Chan stressed that a good video must engage their audiences, allowed them to have resonance, and received the key message of the video. He also pointed out the production must contain 3Es, including engagement, enjoyment and entertainment.


It is said that VR video or 3D films might cause dizziness after watching for a long time, Chan said audiences would not feel the sickness if they just concentrate on the story. However, if the audiences always move or look at other places during the film-watching process, dizziness occurred easily.
