One TV, the18th satellite TV station in Hong Kong which only spend two months to get an Non-domestic Television Programme Service Licence from Communication Authority(CA).

According the guidance notes from Communication Authority, there are two types of broadcasting licence in Hong Kong. They are television and radio. Communication Authority provides three kinds of TV licence including: 1.Domestic Free TV Programme Service Licence (TVB and ATV) 2.Domestic Pay TV Programme Service Licence (Cable , TVB and PCCW), 3.Non-domestic TV Programme Service Licence (18 in total)

One TV applied for a licence on 21 December 2012 and the application was proved two months after. On 6 February 2013, One TV is allowed to produces TV programmes legally.

The guidance notes also shows that the authority normally spends 4 months to prove a Non-domestic TV Programme Service Licence and take reasonable time to prove a Domestic Free TV Programme Service Licence. Late 2009, government announced that planning to expand the domestic free TV market. However, CA did not prove any licence till 2013.
