Executive Council member Fanny Law reconfirms her support to the Chief Executive CY Leung, no matter whether he is going to be interrogated in the Legislative Council, adding he did not intend to conceal the unauthorized building works(UBWs).
Announcing a statement further admitting more UBWs last Friday, CY Leung was asked to explain in the Legislative Council. “Regardless he is attending the interrogation or not, ”Law said, “I support his decision.”
She hopes the citizens to put on Leung’s shoes and be more considerate, criticizing some people and reporters for over-interpreting Leung’s mistake. Law believes many citizens have UBWs in their home. “Probably your parents have done some UBWs,” She said.
Law told the audience that UBWs are not serious problems, adding that the Building Department treats it so easy that they will only respond to the complains but not actively investigate the buildings.
However some students said it was contradictory of undermining the fault of Leung but on the other hand removing the UBWs in the New Territories.
