Wen Wei Po, the long history newspaper, is criticized by its former Deputy General Manager Chau Yick on the Shue Yan University assembly today. He said left news had already lost the values to exists and Wen Wei Po should be closed down.


In the past, left news was a media for Communist Party to deliver messages. Chau believes that it is worthless nowadays as Internet is rapid. He also points out that the closing down of the left news can save money for the central government. 


“I have not read Wen Wei Po for more than ten years,” Chau is disappointed with the newspaper. After the June incident in 1989, all the editorial staff in Wen Wei Po turned into mainlanders. He states that this indicated the communization and lost of way of Wen Wei Po, which erased all their own style.   (((brief but solid and flows well...i'll overlook that it was late))
